The MCC put on a great event helped by the weather. Saturdays down poor dampened the ground and Sundays, sunshine with the odd shower made the going interesting. Its not my place to announce results but the same regulars made the quickest times. One has to admire just how fast an Imp and an MG Maestro can be piloted upon wet grass. The long lunch break with an on site burger bar gave all the chance to eat and socialise. I entered an MGB and with enthusiastic driving and soft springs managed to wrap the numberplate over both the top and bottom of the front bumper, like a stick on. It goes without saying that the boys and girls upon the bikes were even quicker than the cars. Our Celia still with a strapped wrist and the larger than life Yoshi, took home trophies.
